Why does MATLAB 6.5 (R13) appear briefly, and then instantly close after being started on my MAC OSX machine?

You may have problems starting MATLAB if OroborOSX is either not installed, or not running. Please make sure that OroborOSX is installed, and launch MATLAB using the "Launch Matlab" script in the $MATLAB/bin directory ($MATLAB is the directory to which MATLAB was installed.) If this does not work, then OroborOSX is not installed within the root MATLAB folder, and you'll need to run it manually. If this still does not resolve the problem, make sure that you are using the version of OroborOSX that came with R13 of MATLAB.
Also, if you are attempting to start MATLAB from the command line, and not the LaunchMatlab icon, you must use the OroborOSX window. If you try to start MATLAB from a terminal window, MATLAB will not start.
