MATLAB: How to set an expiration date for the license file

MATLAB

How can I set an expiration date for my license file? Can this date be different from the expiration date of the license itself?

Best Answer

License administrators can manually specify an expiration date for MATLAB license files. Certain licenses such as Classroom licenses cannot have manual expiration dates added.  On term licenses, this expiration date must be earlier than the expiration date for the license itself. To set an expiration date for new activations:
  1. Go to the MathWorks License Center.
  2. Select the license you wish to add an expiration date to.
  3. Click the "Install and Activate" tab.
  4. Above the "Advanced Options" button, click the current expiration date. If no expiration date is currently set, this will read "Not set."
  5. In the pop-up, choose a new date. To unset the expiration date entirely, clear the box and click save.
