MATLAB: How to create 3D bar plot shifted in the x-axis and also the y-axis in MATLAB 7.6 (R2008a)

I would like to create 3D bar plot that is shifted in the x-axis and also in the y-axis.

This attached MATLAB file plots the 3D bar plot that is shifted in x-axis as well as the y-axis.

The resulting bar plot looks like this:

The ability to directly plot a histogram with a logarithmic x-axis is not available in MATLAB.

To work around this issue, use the HIST function to plot the histogram, and them use

set(gca,'xscale','log')

to set the x-axis scale to logarithmic.
