There can be multiple reasons why this error occurs:
Download Access
This error can occurr when you do not have Download Access permissions the license. You will need to contact your License Administrators to get this enabled in order to continue.
If you have confirmed that you do have download access, try the following solutions:
  1. Try disabling antivirus or firewalls that could be blocking the connection on one of the installer ports.
  2. On Windows and Mac, try rebooting to Safe Mode (with networking for Windows), and try the installer there.
If you still get an error, another possible workaround is to have your License Administrator "reset" your permissions. This is done by removing them and then giving them back.
Product Incompatibility
This can also happen if you have one product on the license AND it can't be installed on a specific OS. Example: Simulink Real-Time is only on Win32/64 and will give you this error when trying to install on Mac/Linux
(R2013a and below) Missing installation files
Since you have to download each product in R2013a and below separately, make sure that all of the required product files have been downloaded and are located in the same folder as the installer. See the following article for more information.
