Why am I unable to advance past the second DVD prompt when installing MATLAB on Linux?

Best Answer

When installing MATLAB from DVDs or disk images on Linux, each disk is mounted, and then the installer is run from the disk to install the software. When the installer prompts for a second DVD, you must unmount the first disk before removing the disk from your computer and inserting the second DVD. Failure to do so will cause the installer to be unable to detect the second DVD, and you will be unable to proceed with the installation process.
For instructions on how to mount or unmount DVDs or disk images, please see your Linux distribution's documentation, or contact your system administrator.
