[Tex/LaTex] Temporarily suppress two-column layout in Oxford Bioinformatics template

The Oxford Bioinformatics journal's template is one of my favorites and I use it for many of my school assignments. The template uses a two-column layout, but in an appendix at the end of the document I would like to include some source code. This of course looks horrible in the two-column layout, but I have been unable to suppress the two-column mode using multicol macros. Is there any way I can do this?

Just put \onecolumn before the appendix. Note that the commands \onecolumn and \twocolumn start a new page.

The bioinfo class loads the flushend package which (according to the UK TeX FAQ in a "somewhat dangerous" way) balances the columns at the end of a two-column document. You should be able to switch off balancing by adding \raggedend to your preamble.

use the tabbing environment instead of a longtable. It can be set in a \twocolumnmode. The first line is killed after defining the tabstops. However, if you can set all lines in \ttfamily, then you need nothing, all will be fine. Alternatively put the first "C(..) = " in a box of a fixed width. The it is also formatted, because all digits are of the same width.
