moderncv
I am writing my CV using moderncv package, everythig is nice but I have a problem with \cventry command. I have something like this:
(it means 2010 – now)
I would want to have this in one line, rather than in two lines. I tried looking into the moderncv style files but with no success. What can I do to achieve the effect I want?
It's a pity. No way. Latest version of moderncv uses tabular and minipage internally, and old version uses longtable. You can't break a tabular line or box.
It is possible to reimplement moderncv with lists, but not easy. You'd better avoid such long item or use another template.
To put two companies and locations for the same job title, you could use the penultimate argument of \cventry to hold information about the second company and location.
Depending on the style you are using, you will need to set formatting manually accordingly inside that argument, i.e. for the classic or casual style:
\section{Experience}
\cventry{Date}{Job title}{Company 1}{Location 1}{\textsl{Company 2}, Location 2}{Description}
which will produce

It seems I found the solution to my problem, if I add this line
and tweak a bit with lengths I can get the results that I wanted.
