[Tex/LaTex] Documentation search does not work through right-click in TeXstudio

I'm relatively new with LaTeX and I can't find the solution to a problem I came through only recently.

I'm using TeXLive 2015 with the editor TeXstudio, which I updated to the most recent version (2.10.8) a couple days ago, after a while I was using the version 2.10.0.
My problem is that the documentation search that is accessible by right-clicking to a package name is not working anymore, since the following message is showing up:

texdoc did not respond to query on package: babel

The search worked perfectly with the previous version I had. Moreover, texdoc works when I launch it through the command window: i.e. writing the command line

texdoc babel

opens the documentation as expected.

Searching a bit through the Web led me to some questions about the same problem (you can read it here and here), but I can't figure out how the solution works. I assume some modifications must be done to the TeXstudio configuration, and I tried to add the texdoc folder path to the TeXstudio commands as it is suggested, but I must have failed something, since this had no effect.

Where am I wrong?

EDIT: I uninstalled and reinstalled TeXstudio, but the problem still remains.
I forgot to specify I am using Windows 10.

I solved the problem following the discussions provided at this link. The Additional Search Paths -> Commands ($PATH) is under Advanced options.

(La)TeX isn't build like Python which can store and build documentation in and from the code itself. You need to figure out which package is defining the macro (aka "commands") and then load the package manual e.g. using texdoc <package name>. There is no cross-reference from the macros to their packages, besides the one done by Google & Co. TeX also doesn't know namespaces etc. While it is Turing complete it should not be compared with software programming languages, especially not with such which are over 30 years younger.

The closest thing you are looking for is the Perl script texdef (which can also be installed as latexdef) which normally shows the definition of macros, but which has also a --find / -f option to display where the given macros are first defined. The catch is that you need to load the packages it should search by yourself. It uses LaTeX internally and loading all installed packages in one document automatically isn't possible. So, e.g. latexdef -f -p hyperref href tells you the definition of \href and that it is first defined by url.sty (which is loaded by hyperref). This can be used to find you which packages in a list is defining the macro. Unfortunately this is cumbersome, and a web search might be easier and more fruitful.

Probably the path for info is missing, something like

INFOPATH=/local/texlive/2014/texmf-dist/doc/info:$INFOPATH; export INFOPATH

I'm using the file .profile (not RH, but openSuse) to set pathes for TeX:

PATH=/local/texlive/2014/bin/x86_64-linux:$PATH; export PATH
MANPATH=/local/texlive/2014/texmf-dist/doc/man:$MANPATH; export MANPATH
INFOPATH=/local/texlive/2014/texmf-dist/doc/info:$INFOPATH; export INFOPATH

EDIT:

A comment below is doubtful about the need to set the MANPTH and the INFOPATH. But the texlive documentation as of today (http://tug.org/texlive/doc/texlive-en/texlive-en.html) says:

create symlinks in standard directories: This option (Unix only) bypasses the need to change environment variables. Without this option, TEX Live directories usually have to be added to PATH, MANPATH and INFOPATH

So the answer depends upon some installation options. I don't see any harm done by adding these pathes, but, well, I'm a user, not an IT guy.
