header-footermoderncv
To be honest I have tried a lot to get this working but without any luck. My goal is to add a footer that contains a name on the left side and the page number count on the right side to each site of my cv with class moderncv.
For me it is clear how to do that with moderncv style casual but not with style classic.
Has anybody a minimal example that works out of the box?
You can modify \makecvtitle (however unwieldy):

It's all about adjusting the boxes that make up the header. It's easiest to still supply your \familyname with an additional \rlap. The adjustment for the name uses some detail about minipage - specifically specifying a fixed height.
At last there is a little bug in the class moderncv.
One possibility is to write
\name{Klmopq}{\\[1ex]\mbox{VeryLongName}}
With \\[1ex] you get a new line with 1ex distance between the two lines. Change 1ex to values you want. Command \mbox does not allow a hyphenation of the VeryLongname.
With command \setlength{\makecvheadnamewidth}{12cm} you can define the length available for the name(s).
