[Tex/LaTex] Merging banking and casual style in moderncv (2)

moderncv

I really like the solution given in Merging banking and classic style in moderncv but what to do if I want to keep the footer information of the casual style from page 2 on? That is, with this solution, I can put the header as I want in the first page, but the footer disappears from the rest of the pages and I do not want that.

I want the header of the first page to look like this (with an empty footer):
First page

And the footer from the second page on to look like this:From 2nd page on

Best Answer

With an current version of moderncv you can do this in the following way.

You need to check the two styles to find out which body and footer are used.

To merge style banking with casual call style banking

\moderncvstyle{banking}

and call the body and footer of style casual in the preambel

 \moderncvbody{1} % Body of casual style    % <=========================
 \moderncvfoot{1} % Footer of casual style  % <=========================

Now you have the problem that you will see the footer on every page. To have it not on the first page (of the cv and the letter!) you need to add

\thispagestyle{empty} % <===============================================

to the first page for the cv and the letter.

Please see the following MWE

\documentclass[11pt,a4paper,sans]{moderncv}

% moderncv themes
\moderncvstyle{banking} % casual, classic, banking, oldstyle and fancy
