[Tex/LaTex] Change logo in a beamer template

I'm working with this beamer template: https://www.overleaf.com/10300591bjdrrvvnhwhd#/38204546/

I would like to change the university logo and name in the top left corner but I can't find an option to achieve this goal. The only options in phil-pdflatex.tex are these:

\title{Presentation Title} %% that will be typeset on the
\subtitle{Presentation Subtitle} %% title page.
\author{Author's Name}

Moreover, there is a logo folder in /fibeamer/logo/mu that contains two pdf files completely blank.

The name is part of the image and fibeamer-mu-phil-english.pdf is not completly blank, it's the white logo with a transparent background. If viewed on top of a coloured area, you will see:

So to change the logo and the name, replace the .pdf file or specify your own image via

\usetheme[logo=example-image]{fibeamer}

Question 1: You can use any of the fields given by \author, \title, \date, or \institute to place the image in the title page; if none of those fields allow you to achieve the desired placement, you can use the textpos package. The example below uses the \author field to add the image.

As osjerick mentions in a comment, the above solution won't behave correctly if \framesubtitle is used (the image will shift downwards); in this case, a TikZ approach can be used to prevent the movement:

[Tex/LaTex] How to insert logo in LyX beamer

To add a logo to the titlepage, you can use the \titlegraphic command in the preamble. Go to Document --> Settings --> LaTeX preamble and add

\titlegraphic{\includegraphics{uni-logo-filename}}

However, this can also be done from within the GUI. Add a new line after the author(s), and choose TitleGraphic from the drop down menu in the top left. Then you can add the logo as you normally add images, by clicking add graphic .

For me, this placed the logo at the bottom of the page. If the same happens for you, you probably have to redefine the title page template. Stefan Kottwitz provides the basic idea in How to customize \titlepage in beamer?

Copy the \defbeamertemplate part to your LaTeX preamble in Document --> Settings, and change it to suit your needs. I'm not sure exactly what you want to have, but the following produced something very similar to the template, only with the logo between the authors and the affiliations.
