MATLAB: Am I unable to run setup.exe from an ISO file

When I double click on setup.exe in an ISO utility application, my computer displays the following: 'cannot find appropriate setup.exe file'. (The textbar has 'Invalid disk' as title).

In order to install MATLAB from an ISO file the ISO file must be extracted or mounted. If you attempt to run the MATLAB installer from directly within the ISO utility application, you will see an error of this type.
To resolve the issue, mount or extract the ISO file and run the MATLAB installer from the mounted ISO or the extracted installer folder.
