MATLAB: Number of subplots in quadrants

Hello all,

Is there a maximum number of histogram subplots Matlab can generate? For example, If I make a 10×10 grid of subplots of histograms, it is theoretically possible right?

Right now I am experiencing an error each time I have more than three subplots. (2×2 is not ok, 4×1 is not ok). The error reads: OpenGL appears to be installed incorrectly. And the program closes.

This sounds like an OpenGL problem, not a problem of histograms or subplots.

Did you install the newest drivers?

That's weird. It's not a common issue - it'd be all over the place if it were. After some searching, I found this post saying there can be issues with some ATI graphics cards. Try the suggestions there (updating graphics drivers, switching renderer) and let us know if that solved the problem.

The four quadrants are characterized by the following conditions (if the center of the circle is at (0,0)):

I quadrant: y<=x, y>=-x
II quadrant: y>=x y>=-x 
III quadrant: y<=x, y>=-x 
IV quadrant: y<=x, y<=-x

Use an if-statement to determine which quadrant the point under consideration is in.
