MATLAB: Matching numbers between variables

i have two matrices, both containing lists of numbers.

outliers = [14, 32, 38, 44…..]

GroupZERO = [1, 2, 3, 14, 15, 16…]

im trying to make it so that if any value in GroupZERO = any value in outliers then remove it from GroupZERO, so in this instance 14 would be deleted out of GroupZERO and if for example 44 were in Groupzero, that would be removed as well etc.

this was the code i trired:

outlier = find(GroupZERO(1,:)==outliers)

GroupZERO(:,outlier) = []

… however it is saying matrix dimensions do not agree.

The results for intersect are correct ..

>> (A(16,:)-A_new(3,:))
ans =
   1.0e-13 *
         0         0    0.1421

The other data arrays were apparenty constructed by taking fewer significant digits.

Testing floating point for exact equality is always fraught with such issues--if you want matching with eps() of the values or other tolerance and not need exact match to the last bit, use ismembertol

You have to look at the value as stored in memory to make a judgement, you can't just compare the visual representation on the screen.

N = 55;
primeNumbers = primes(N)
fprintf('list: ');
for k = 1 : N
	fprintf('%d', k);
	if ismember(k, primeNumbers)
		fprintf(' (prime), ');
	else
		fprintf(', ');
	end
end

You get in the command window:

list: 1, 2 (prime), 3 (prime), 4, 5 (prime), 6, 7 (prime), 8, 9, 10, 11 (prime), 12, 13 (prime), 14, 15, 16, 17 (prime), 18, 19 (prime), 20, 21, 22, 23 (prime), 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 (prime), 30, 31 (prime), 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 (prime), 38, 39, 40, 41 (prime), 42, 43 (prime), 44, 45, 46, 47 (prime), 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 (prime), 54, 55,
