I am using the PDE toolbox to solve heat transfer problems. What is the default internal temperature of a solid body? How can I define the heat capacity of a solid body when solving heat transfer problems?

For a dynamic heat transfer problem, the default initial internal temperature is zero. You can change that in the Solve Parameters dialog box.

For a static problem, the internal temperature is the variable that you solve for.

The heat capacity of a solid body can be defined in the PDE Specification dialog box when in Heat Transfer application mode.

MATLAB: How to log entity server capacity

Hi Alex,

You can log the capacity of the entity server by selecting the block in the model and then typing the following in MATLAB command line

>> get_param(gcb,'Capacity')

Additionally, if you are interested in logging the number of entities being served in the block, you can check the option in the Statistics section of the Block Parameters window. This will create an output port for the Entity Server block, which you can connect to a "To Workspace" block to log the values to the workspace. Please refer the attachment for more information.
