the Imagesc isn't imagesc(*handles.axes* , x ,y ) !!!!!!!!!!!!

how does for show it in a AXES in my GUIDE ??????????????

First make sure you're calling imagesc() and not Imagesc() because MATLAB is case sensitive. Look up the help for imagesc. What exactly do you think x and y are that you're passing in? Where is the image array that you're trying to display??? Try this

axes(handles.axes);
imagesc(yourImageArray);

imagesc(yourImageArray, 'Parent', handles.axes);

Obviously you already need an axes object on your figure which has the "tag" names "axes" or else that won't work.

I'd just use colormap and not mess with contours unless you know what you're doing and what you want. To pseudocolor a grayscale image an leave it as grayscale but display it as colored:

imshow(grayImage);
colormap(jet(256));
colorbar;

To convert a grayscale image into a true color RGB image and display the RGB image instead of the pseudocolored image:

rgbImage = ind2rgb(grayImage, jet(256));
imshow(rgbImage);

You don't use color bars with RGB images.

MATLAB: Prevent _ from subscripting with suptitle

Store the handle and change the interpreter to 'none'.

h = suptitle('my_super_title'); 
h.Interpreter = 'none';
