MATLAB: How to run different scripts in parallel

I have 6 matlab scripts.

Within each script, functions are called to initialize some variables required for simulation. Each script then uses these initialized variables as inputs for a Simulink model. The results of the Simulink model are then saved to file. All of the 6 scripts run the same Simulink model but with different input conditions. Is it possible to run these 6 scripts parallel as they all call the same Simulink model?

If yes, how do I go about doing this?

I have never used parallel computing before.

Do your scripts call PARFOR or other parallel language features? By specifying "...'matlabpool', 2" in your batch command, each job is taking up 3 workers - so you're probably running out of workers. If the scripts don't need to use PARFOR, then simply omit those arguments.

You can check how many workers your local cluster can support simply by displaying the object:

disp(parcluster('local'))

You need to give the name of the script to the createTask function, like so:

    sched = findResource(...);
    job = createJob(sched); 
    task = createTask(job, 'scriptFileName');
    submit(job);

This is basically equivalent to running

    job = batch('scriptFileName', sched);

A single isolated task might run more slowly on a cluster because MATLAB workers run in "single computational thread" mode. You might be better trying to run lots of scripts simultaneously.
