MATLAB: How to log data to a CSV file using OPC Toolbox 2.1.4 (R2009b)

I am trying to log data to a CSV file instead of an OLF file. Is there a direct way to do so?

Instead of logging to an OLF file, you could log the data to a CSV file as follows:

da = opcda('host','ServerID');
connect(da);
grp = addgroup(da);
set(grp,'LogFileName', 'LoggingFile.csv');

The CSV file can be opened in Excel directly.
