MATLAB: How to edit the plot of the logged signals in Time Series Tools GUI in Simulink 7.1 (R2008a)

I am using the "Inspect Logged Signals" feature in Simulink, which uses the Time Series Tools. The plot display of the logged signal in the Time Seris Tool GUI is just a preview of the signal. I would like to be able to edit the display of the logged signals in the Time Series Tool.

The ability to use the Time Series Tools GUI to directly edit logged signals displayed in the GUI is not available in Simulink 7.1 (R2008a).

As a workaround, MATLAB plots for individual signals can be generated by clicking on the "Display" button on the time series data tab in the GUI. These plots can be manipulated in the same manner as any other MATLAB plot.

The ability to export spectral data to the MATLAB workspace or a file is unavailable in MATLAB 7.1 (R14SP3).

A workaround is to access the API of the Time Series Tools GUI, as follows.

Once the spectral plot is generated, click on Spectral View in the session tree and then call the following function from the MATLAB command line.

This function EXPORTSPECDATA can be created as follows:

Notes:

1. This function accesses the API of the Time Series Tools, and this API is subject to change in future releases of MATLAB. Consequently, this method is not supported.

2. The Spectral View item must be selected in Time Series Tools before the exportSpecData function is called. Otherwise, an error will be produced. Select Time Series Session Tree --> Views --> Spectral Plots --> View1, and then call the function.

MATLAB: Is a manual switch with one inport and two outports available in Simulink 7.1 (R2008a)

The ability to manually switch between outports is not available in Simulink 7.1 (R2008a) . To work around this issue, the actual manual switch block can be used with an Embedded MATLAB function as shown in the attached example model. This can also be achieved by an If-Action Subsystem.
