MATLAB: How do image segmentation in SegmentTool

Dear all,

I have image, which I would like to segmenting in SegmentTool. I imported this image into this application and marked interesting area for segmentation and confirmed segmentation by "enter" to saving in workspace. But when I want to export and save results, it appears "No circles detected" (below the window). How do I make those circles? I attach printscreen.

You could use imfreehand() first to draw a black line at the top and bottom of the "circle" to separate it from the tissue at the top and bottom.

Veronika - which version of MATLAB are you using? According to audioread, this method was introduced in R2012b and so you may not have this function if using an earlier version of MATLAB. At the Command Line, type

 which audioread -all

to see if you have this function and

ver

to determine your version of MATLAB.

se = strel('disk', 7, 0);
binaryImage = grayImage > 0; % Threshold.
mask = imerode(binaryImage, se);
grayImage(~mask) = 0;
