MATLAB: How can I convert comma with semicolan and then again point with comma for a multiple csv files

Hello Matlab Helpers,

I have some csv files (english) which i need to convert in german version. I have not done it before. Can anyone help me please?

What i need to do is

I want to convert first 1. comma with semicolan and then again

2. point with comma for same csv file

and these same ruling for all other csv files and want to save it with csv. format.

My trial but getting error that *Invalid file identifier*:

P = 'C:\Users\Cha\Desktop';%relative/absolute path to the folder where the files are saved';
S = dir(fullfile(P,'*.csv')); 
for k = 1:numel(S)
    myfilename=sprintf('scope_%d.csv',k);
    fidi=fopen(myfilename,'rt')

    fclose(fidi)
    mydataadot{k}=strrep(mydatacoma,',',';');
    myfinal{k}=strrep(mydataadot{1},'.',',');
end

Try this

str = fileread('scope_0.csv');
str = replace(str, {',', '.'}, {';', ','});
f = fopen('outfile.csv', 'wt');
fprintf(f, '%s', str);
fclose(f);

f = fopen('TOUCH.csv', 'wt');

f = fopen('TOUCH.csv', 'w');

When you do fileread(), the character vector that is read in will have inside it any carriage returns and linefeeds that are in the original text. When you fwrite() when 'wt' is active, every newline to be written will be converted to carriage return followed by newline. So what was originally CR LF in your file would get written out as CR CR LF .

If you had reason to want to force CR LF line ending, then use 'w', but

str = strrep(strrep(str, char(13), ''), char(10), char([13 10]))

This would remove all existing carriage returns and then change all newline to carriage return followed by newline.

Or alternately you could write the entire replacement series with no strrep, using

str = regexprep(str, {',', '\.', '(?<!\r)\n'}, {';', ',', '\r\n'})

This does all of the replacements, and only converts \n to \r\n if the \n was not proceeded by a \r already.

MATLAB: Replace comma to dot

Add this to the callback of the edit uicontrol:

function Edit1Callback(hObject, EventData, handles)  % Or how it is called
Str = get(hObject, 'String');
Str = strrep(Str, ',', '.');
set(hObject, 'String', Str);
...

This replaces the comma by a dot at first.
