Frequently Asked Questions about using MATLAB/Simulink with Texas Instruments C2000 MCU's.
Best Answer
MathWorks Embedded Coder with the TI C2000 Hardware Support Package allows automatic build and execution on C2000 hardware from models developed using MATLAB and Simulink.
Answers to some common advanced questions are available on MATLAB Answers:
including setup and a getting started video, is available on MathWorks' website (access may depend on your MathWorks login).
Additional C2000 specific questions can be posted on TI E2E. Questions specific to MathWorks products (such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Embedded Coder) can also be posted to the MATLAB Answers forum or, if your license includes live support, asked directly to MathWorks' tech support.
The Embedded Target for TI C6000 target does not support code generation for the TMS320C28x DSP family. The only boards currently supported are:
C6701 EVM
C6711 DSK
which are both from the TMS320C67xx family
There is no timeframe as to if or when MathWorks will be supporting the C28x family. We do not have any other product that supports code generation for the C28x DSPs.
The C2000 CRL tables have been moved to the Texas Instruments support package component as of R2016b. Earlier these CRL tables were shipped with the base MATLAB software.
Therefore, to access the CRL tables, the Texas Instruments C2000 F28M3x Concerto Processors support package needs to be installed.
