Hello.. I have one question.. how to export complex data from .mat file to .txt file.. I hv used the fprintf function… however the function doesnt support the complex data i.e the entries of matrix in txt file are only real number .. tq

Hi,

try this:

a = rand(10) + rand(10)*i;
dlmwrite('text.txt',a)

Or if you want a whitespace instead of a comma do

dlmwrite('text.txt',a,'delimiter',' ')

The best solution is probably to read your entire file as text, then remove the header lines, then parse them with textscan.

You are closing the file in the loop. close the file after the loop. I assume the below should work.

fid = fopen(filename,'rt');
if fid < 0
  error('error opening file %s\n\n',filename);
end
pattern = fgets(fid);
for n = 1:32767
  nextline = fgets(fid);
  pattern = strcat(pattern, nextline);
fprintf(pattern);
fprintf('\n');
end
fclose(fid);
