When activating MATLAB I receive the following error:
Error 1,731: Activations are not allowed when License Management is set to Online Licensing.

You will receive this error if you attempt to activate a license that is meant to be used in conjunction with Online Licensing. Since you have elected to use the MATLAB Parallel Server license in conjunction with Online Licensing this eliminates the need for a network license manager.
As with any Network license, you do not activate your workers and simply need to configure them to use Online Licensing instead of network license manager.
It is currently only possible to track license usage when using an MATLAB Parallel Server On-Demand license. Customers who have an MATLAB Parallel Server On-Demand license can go to the License Center and download an .xls file that shows how much the license was used. This feature is not currently available for fixed seat MATLAB Parallel Server licenses that are using the online licensing.
As of R2020a, the silent installer does not have an option to install the License Manager silently. In order to install the License Manager on a machine that requires a silent installation, you may manually install the License Manager with the License Manager binaries.
