MATLAB: Caught “std::exception” Exception message is: FatalException(unknown) – any reason

can't reload (windows)errorexceptionfatalmm_rmidd_mi.dll

Dear community,
Matlab shows me the following:
Caught "std::exception" Exception message is:
FatalException(unknown)
MATLAB:dispatcher:loadLibrary Can't load 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2014a\bin\win64\mm_rmidd_mi.dll': The specified module could not be found.
Caught "std::exception" Exception message is:
FatalException(unknown)
MATLAB:dispatcher:loadLibrary Can't reload 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2014a\bin\win64\mm_rmidd_mi.dll'.
I've looked for the file – and it's there – do you have any suggestions why matlab says this?
thanks in advance 🙂

I was having the same problem. Avast detected LIBMWM3I_RES.DLL as a threat and put it in its Virus Chest. I solved the problem by restoring the DLL and adding it to the exclusion list. The next time MATLAB started I got a warning from Avast and told it to ignore the problem (add to exclusions list). Restarted MATLAB and the error was gone.
