[Tex/LaTex] Texmaker home/end keys on Mac OS X

In Mac OS X, the home/end keys per default throw you at the beginning/end of the document instead of the beginning/end line. I have changed my system key bindings to get the latter, "usual" (Windows- and Linux-like) behavior.

However, texmaker seems to ignore this setting. It is horribly distracting when I have to search for my editing position in a longer text each time after unconsciously hitting the end key.

I did not find these commands in the "configure texmaker" dialog. Is there a way to persuade texmaker to respect the system key bindings, or can I modify the setting in texmaker individually?

You can use free tool called Karabiner https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/

I have tested it in TexMaker on OSX / Mac using PC keyboard

The link you have, while saying MacTeX 2011, is actually pointing to the download for a part of MacTeX 2012 which works only with a DVD containing 'vanilla' TeX Live. This should get fixed on the website: I will report it. However, what you want is the latest MacTeX. That's always available from the link http://www.tug.org/mactex/ (note: no year), and on that page you want http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/mac/mactex/MacTeX.pkg, which is the full Mac installer, about 2 Gb.

actually I didn't use TexMaker on Mac before. I use TexShop and I thinks it is convenient to use to type in Chinese. If you use TexShop, please set your unicode to UTF-8 in preference.

If you'd like to change your font, just use

\ChCal{行楷-繁}

command, for example.

In TexShop, you can use the font directly installed on your Mac. You don't need to download another set of font, like CJK font by Han-tsong Wang.
