[Tex/LaTex] Insert hebrew at math-mode (LyX)

I'd like to insert some Hebrew words at math-mode at LyX, like can I inset \text or something like that…

There is a way to do this?
Even not at \text and by adding special characters (or things that similar to this).

There is any way to do this, or it's impossible?

But I'm using LyX (and I don't know how to insert it to LyX), and I want to use all the Hebrew characters….

If you setup your document to use XeTeX, it works just as it should: You write \text then in the little box you enter your text in Hebrew as is. The only caveat is that LyX will display the text in the formula reversed, but in the output it is fine.

You can get support for compiling with pdfTeX and IvriTeX Hebrew fonts by using install-tl-ubuntu. Just run the following command:

sudo ./install-tl-ubuntu --hebrew

Before you do that, you should remove whichever LaTeX installation you currently have (by default it installs a full TeX Live 2013 distribution). See ./install-tl-ubuntu --help for more information.

If you would like to compile with XeTeX, there is no need for any of this. Just to test that it works (the choice of fonts is not correct and probably ugly for Hebrew but you can use any fonts):

In Document > Settings > Fonts, check the box "Use non-TeX fonts" and change the three fonts to FreeSans (or any other font that supports Hebrew).
Click OK.
Try to export with XeTeX.

Better Hebrew fonts can be found in the ubuntu packages culmus and culmus-fancy.

A relatively simple solution is to use XeLaTeX to typeset unicode characters directly. That way you will have your foreign language characters in their native script in LyX. The key is to turn on "Use non-TeX fonts (via XeTeX/LuaTeX) in the "Fonts" tab of your document's settings.

Copy the example, paste it into a new text document and save it with a .lyx extension using a plain text editor, then open the saved file in LyX.

To enter foreign text you can copy and paste from other sources, e.g. web pages, set up an appropriate (Hebrew) keyboard, or copy and paste from an app like "Character Map".
