[Tex/LaTex] How to set the margins in a KOMA-Script class

I am writing my resume (using the currvita package) within a scrartcl document class from KOMA-Script. How do I set the margins? I think the text width is a bit too narrow for me.

You may also want to redefine the areaset \areaset[5mm]{412pt}{657pt} but it may destroy the original behavior of the class.

With `layout` package

As @Speravir said, the layout package does exactly this: it prints the page layout, with all lengths. This is the best answer, since this package is part of LaTeX tools bundle, therefore "a part of all great TeX distributions".

With `layouts` package

The layouts (plural) package extends the funtionality of layout, allowing you to do much, much more. To begin with, you can print the page layout alone (with \pagelayout) or just a table with the values of the page parameters (with \pagevalues) — but it does much more than just that. \pagedesign gives a simplified version of the layout package's \layout command.

And a combination of the commands mentioned before gives an output similar to the one given by the layout package:

Using only KOMA-Script, the ratio between top and bottom margin will always be 1:2. Therefore, an additional package (e.g., geometry) is needed for your desired layout. Note that you have to split your calculated "marginal notes width" into marginparsep and marginparwidth and to add both parameters to outer. See section 3 of the geometry manual for details and additional modifications (e.g., regarding headers/footers).
