[Tex/LaTex] Emacs Predictive Mode does not work for LaTeX documents

After installing the Predictive Mode package for Emacs 23.3 on Windows 7, it will not load the LaTeX libraries when I run the Predictive-Mode function. I get the following message:

Warning (emacs): Predictive major-mode setup function predictive-setup-latex failed; latex-mode support disabled

Predictive mode is functional for non-Latex documents. Has anyone run into this before? How do I get predictive mode to work for Latex documents, which is why I wanted to install it anyway?

The path to the predictive folder and the latex folder is C:\Program files (x86)\emacs\.emacs.d\predictive\latex.

Any thoughts?

@G.JayKerns has a perfectly good solution in the comments, but since this question has been a while without an answer, I'll fill it in. The important elisp variable is org-latex-pdf-process, which can work with a number of settings. I have mine set up as something like:

(setq org-latex-pdf-process (list
   "latexmk -pdflatex='lualatex -shell-escape -interaction nonstopmode' -pdf -f  %f"))

That's a simplification since I set the actual variable dynamically based on some other orgmode macro lines, but the basic idea should work.

You can use explicit multiple iterations or a build process like latexmk or rubber within org-latex-pdf-process. Use what you would at the command line and check the log in the *Org PDF LaTeX Output* buffer if you get errors.

The org-mode file should look like this: org-bib-test.org

* Tests
** Test1 slide
   - This is test1 \cite{Tappert77}.

\bibliographystyle{plain}
\bibliography{org-bib-test-refs}

Put your bibtex in the file org-bib-test-refs.bib and run C-c C-e l o and you should be good.

In your definitions of the command lines for latexmk, change %s to %O %S. (Both the O and S are upper case.) The %S is the correct placeholder for the name of the source file, and the %O is for options that latexmk may place on the command line. With the lower case s that you have, latexmk doesn't do the substitution for the name of the source file, and the command line passed to pdflatex is not the intended one.

It turned out later that the above answer was misleading/misinpretable. There is a configuration of emacs to call latexmk correctly, and a configuration of latexmk to call pdflatex as is desired by the OP. Although latexmk can be configured through its command line, which was done in the emacs configuration file .emacs in the question, it is normally easier and safer to configure latexmk in one of its own configuration files.
