I use "Texmaker-3.5.2" with "basic-miktex-2.9.4757" on Windows 8.1 on my personal laptop (LenovoZ5070).
I checked Options\Configure Texmaker\Commands. It includes:
LATEX: latex -interaction=nonstopmode %.tex
PDFLATEX: pdflatex -synctex=1 -interaction=nonstopmode %.tex
XLATEX: xelatex -synctex=1 -interaction=nonstopmode %.tex
You can see that my system contains "-synctex=1". However “click to jump to the line” is not working! Please help me.
The following will help to configure both forward/inverse searches.
Make sure you type the correct installation directory of Texmaker and SumatraPDF.
Options > Configure Texmaker > CommandsExternal Viewer field (in case you are using SumatraPDF), type "C:\Program Files\SumatraPDF\SumatraPDF.exe" -1 -s @%.tex %.pdf
Settings > Options, then type "C:\Program Files (x86)\Texmaker\texmaker.exe" "%f" -line %l in Set inverse search command-line
In case you are using TeXstudio
Options > Configure TeXstudio > CommandsIn External PDF Viewer field (in case you are using SumatraPDF), type
"C:\Program Files\SumatraPDF\SumatraPDF.exe" -reuse-instance -inverse-search "\"C:/Program Files (x86)/TeXstudio/texstudio.exe\" \"%%f\" -line %%l" -forward-search "?c:am.tex" @ "?am.pdf"
In SumatraPDF, go to Settings > Options, then, in Set inverse search command-line, type
"C:/Program Files (x86)/TeXstudio/texstudio.exe" "%f" -line %l
The error says ! Package minted Error: You must invoke LaTeX with the -shell-escape flag.
So you have to use the flag -shell-escape when compiling, that is, use it before the name of the file.
To do this, move %.tex to the end.
-interaction=nonstopmode -shell-escape %.tex

I had the same problem on windows 7 and found a solution from here: [http://latex-community.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=23400]
Frank in the answer said on that site: get rid of any spaces or special characters from your file names.
