MATLAB: Write protection on license deactivation

deactivation license

I have Matlab 2016a installed. I have currently two licenses associated with the currently installed Matlab. I want to deactivate the outdated license. When I do it in the License -> Deactivate Software …, it asks me to Change the Write Protection on Your Drive and Try Again. I don't know what write protection here means. Can anyone help?

It's wanting to change a file where it's not allowed to write to. It could be that it's in the Program File folder or somewhere. Try running your browser as administrator. If that doesn't work call the Mathworks for the fastest, and free, help because we can't do a whole lot with license/activation issues since we don't work for the Mathworks.
