MATLAB: Is the MATLAB Drive button grayed out in Desktop MATLAB

I am trying to use MATLAB Drive with my Desktop MATLAB.

I've already added the shortcut to my folder toolbar, but the button is grayed out. I have no problem accessing the files on other platforms, such as the Android app, but can't access them on my PC. 

Why is the button grayed out?

In order to use MATLAB Drive in your Desktop MATLAB, MATLAB Drive Connector must be installed and running. 

MATLAB Drive Connector is used to sync files between your MATLAB Drive and your local machine.

Once it is installed, re-start MATLAB, and then the Drive icon should be enabled, rather than grayed out.
