Why is the login name field blank in the activation client?

When logged in as the admin account or root user the login name field will not be filled in automatically. If the login name field is blank, you will need to find the login name of the user who will be using MATLAB and enter it into the login name field to activate MATLAB.

Network Named User and Concurrent license options require the use of FLEXnet® network license servers to manage your MathWorks software licenses. These license servers have always required activation by manually submitting the server Host ID to MathWorks and retrieving your License File through your MathWorks Account. This process will not change going forward.

Also, client machines of Concurrent and Network Named User will not require activation. Ability to use the client installation will still require connection to your license server.
