MATLAB: Which coder Toolbox are required to work with emlc function

I know it was a functionality of Real Time Workshop but now Real Time Workshop is now integrated into Simulink Coder . But when i see the Mathworks product availability then , it says you need to have Matlab coder with Simulink coder . So my question is that ,these two coder are enough to execute the function emlc or do we need any other Toolbox or coder packages. emlc is a Embedded Matlab code so do we need Embedded coder also with other coder packages ? Product dependencies change based upon the release however, you should only need MATLAB Coder to use the command emlc. It should be noted that this command has been renamed to codegen in newer releases. Embedded Coder is another product which adds additional features for code generation.

MATLAB: Emlc issue

Hi Jeremiah,

Add the line task = 0; before the line task = input .....

This tells EMLC that you are expecting a double from the extrinsic MATLAB call to "input". Without this hint, EMLC does not have any idea what input will return and therefore will treat it as an mxArray.

Please refer to the documentation on extrinsic calls for a more detailed explanation.

Sorry about that. Since 'high' is a string input, it works better if you use:

emlc Lowpassfilter.m -eg {emlcoder.egc('high')}

I fixed my answer above also.

I corrected your code slightly, and this works

[b a] = butter (n, Wn, 'low');

You had two errors:

Variables 'a' and 'b' must be pre-allocated, so I used ZEROS to do this
The function filter cannot take int32 inputs, so I removed the assert for datatype - emlc will probably assume a floating point input now. There is filter in Fixed-Point Toolbox that does allow int32 inputs, but the second parameter should always be 1.
