I'm currently studying biomedical engineering and I'm looking to buy one of these laptops for running simulations etc, but I'm unsure which one I should go for. Here are their respective specs:
With retina display (£898.80):
– 2.7GHz dual-core intel Core i5
– 8GB 1866MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
– Intel Iris Graphics 6100
Without retina display (£808.80):
– 2.5GHz dual-core intel core i5
– 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM
– Intel HD graphics 4000
I'm guessing in terms of speed and efficiency (computations and simulations) the former is better, but I'm trying to find good reasons to justify spending more money. Will the extra £90 make a big difference?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
