MATLAB: What role plays “@” and “+” on matlab folder name

I often use System Identification toolbox. Sometime, I watch codes in toolbox "indent". I am surprized that foldername is Unfamiliar symbolic "@" "+". What role this symbolic playes in Matlab?

@-folders are for defining classes. +-folders are for defining packages.

The error occurs because packages may contain class directories, functions, and other packages, but not sub-directories. To work around the issue, create a package from the 'Demos' sub-directory.

However, package directories cannot be added to the MATLAB path, therefore, to instantiate an object of 'demoClass', either import the 'Demos' package, or use the fully qualified name of the class:

import mypack.Demos.*
obj = demoClass
   OR
obj = mypack.Demos.demoClass

Bottom line on top: the problem is the current folder you were working in. You didn't actually need to copy the file because it is already on the MATLAB path, but you did need to cd outside the "default folder". For example, if you cd to a folder inside your Documents folder, then the command will work without copying the plugin file.

has a name beginning with "+".

Modifying or creating files inside the MATLAB installation is generally a bad idea (unless MathWorks tech support instructs you to while helping you fix a problem).The matlabroot command will tell you the root folder of your MATLAB installation. I can see that your MATLAB is installed in D:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2019b, and you were working under this.
