MATLAB: What is wrong with the angle??

ans =

8.6593e+018

>>> by putting 100 & 0.3 & 130 for F2 & Micro & Beta(in degree) the answer should be 197.5217

why do I get the wrong result??

Maybe you want to specify Beta in radians and not degrees:

BeltForce(100, 0.3, 130*pi/180)

ans =

197.5217

You need to convert beta, mu and F2 into numbers..using str2num

F9=(F8*B1B2*sind(D1B2B3+B3B2B1)+F6*B1B3*sind(alpha)-F7*B1B3*cosd(alpha))/(B1B2*sind(B1B2P1))
