I would like to know the maximum matrix size allowed in 64-bit MATLAB running on a 64-bit Mac.

As of MATLAB 7.6 (R2008a), The maximum matrix size allowed in 64-bit MATLAB running on a 64-bit Mac is less than 8TB, which is the same as the maximum matrix size allowed with a 64-bit Windows XP, Linux or Solaris running 64-bit MATLAB.

The "is not a valid Win32 application" error usually means that you are attempting to load a 32-bit DLL using 64-bit MATLAB. Perhaps there are no 64-bit versions of the NI DLLs available? You can tryinstalling 32-bit MATLAB on your 64-bit machine and see if you are able to load the libraries from that installation.
