MATLAB: Use From/Goto Block in different model file

Hello !

I would like to know if there is a way to store many inputs with Goto Blocks in one model file like this :

And use From Blocks in an another model file like this :

The final goal is to use several From Blocks instead of duplicating inputs

Goto and From blocks have a limited scope of visibility, which cannot cross over one model to another.

local (default) — From and Goto blocks that use the same tag must be in the same subsystem. A local tag name is enclosed in brackets ([]).
scoped — From and Goto blocks that use the same tag must be in the same subsystem or at any level in the model hierarchy below the Goto Tag Visibility block that does not entail crossing a nonvirtual subsystem boundary, in other words, the boundary of an atomic, conditionally executed, or function-call subsystem or a model reference. A scoped tag name is enclosed in braces ({}).
global — From and Goto blocks using the same tag can be anywhere in the model except in locations that span nonvirtual subsystem boundaries.

As your referenced model has the 'Invalid root Inport/Outport block connection' diagnostic set to error, Simulink will not automatically fix any problems regarding Inport/Outport connections. Your model violates one of the rules by muxing the outputs of two different blocks and feeding it directly to the outport. As stated in the documentation it is now allowed to have the following situation in your model: "A root Output port is connected directly or indirectly to more than one nonvirtual block port".

In order to resolve this problem, you can use one of the following approaches:

1) Set the diagnostic 'Invalid root Inport/Outport block connection' to 'none', which will cause Simulink to automatically handle this kind of situations by inserting additional blocks. The diagnostic can be found under: Simulation > Configuration Parameters... > Diagnostics > Model Referencing

2) Insert a gain block with value 1 between the Mux and Outport block. This will make sure only one block is directly fed into the Outport

MATLAB: How to use global signals across nonvirtual subsystem boundaries in Simulink 7.5 (R2010a)

You can achieve this by using Data Store Read/Write blocks, together with Simulink.Signal workspace objects (this is what makes the data stores "global" across nonvirtual subsystem boundaries). See the attached models for an example of this. Here, "XandY" references "ModelX" and "ModelY" to show how data stores can indeed cross nonvirtual boundaries.

Note that you should not use a Data Store Memory block anywhere in these models in order to have the global signal functionality. Only Data Store Read and Write blocks should be used, and the corresponding Simulink.Signal objects should be declared in the base workspace. For instance, the attached models require objects "A" and "B" in the base workspace, which can be instantiated as follows:
