MATLAB: Can I uninstall specific MATLAB toolboxes on Linux or Unix
MATLAB
I would like to remove the installation of a toolbox in a convenient way.
rm -rf $MATLAB
removes the entire installation, but I would like to have a simplified option to remove specific toolboxes.

To uninstall MATLAB on UNIX or Linux, use the following command:
rm -r $MATLABROOT
where $MATLABROOT is your root MATLAB directory.
To remove a toolbox, remove all files the toolbox directory with the command:
rm -r $MATLABROOT/toolbox/<toolbox_name>
You may also want to remove the corresponding INCREMENT line in the license file. This file can be found in MATLAB's "etc" directory. Open this with a text editor (vi, pico, etc), locate the INCREMENT line that refers to the toolbox in question, and remove that section.
Don’t install it as a Toolbox similar to theMATLAB Toolboxes. Delete it from wherever you copied it to there.
Instead, create a sub-directory for it in yourC:\Users\...\Documents\MATLAB\... directory and copy it to that sub-directory, just as you would any other user file. Be sure to add that sub-directory to yourMATLAB search path.
