MATLAB: Str2sym and sprint command is not working , was working before but not now.

Hi,

please have a look at the documentation site of str2sym - it was introduced in R2017b. In your tagging of this question there you say that you work on R2017a - so this is not able to work.

As i said in my comment above there is no function sprint - so i guess this is a simple typo. Perhaps you mean sprintf.

Hi Adam,

I just tried finding the blocks and the engine cooling example in R2017a and it works fine for me.

Indeed, if I search for "pump" in the Simulink Library Browser, I get the "Charge Pump PLL" block from the Communications System Toolbox, but then I also get a bunch of hits from Simscape.

My first guess is maybe you don't have Simscape/Simscape Fluids included in this new license? If you type ver at the MATLAB Command Window, do these products show up?

Please execute the "ver" command. You should have something like

Symbolic Math Toolbox                                 Version 6.1        (R2014b)

as part of the output. If not, that is the answer, you do not have the Symbolic Math Toolbox. If you do have, let's see what
