MATLAB: Am I still getting the “Warning: Name is nonexistent or not a directory” issue after restoring the path and checking for pathdef.m and startup.m files

Why am I still getting the "Warning: Name is nonexistent or not a directory" issue after restoring the path and checking for pathdef.m and startup.m files?

If you are encountering the Warning: Name is nonexistent or not a directory on start up and you have already restored the pathing and run the which -all commands you may want to look in the MATLAB folder in the documents folder for a pathdef.m file. Please rename or delete this file and restart MATLAB.
If you have not yet tested the pathing or which-all commands you can find further troubleshooting steps in the article below.
