MATLAB: Snake algorithem plz

Question

I want to close the border spaced in a circle in the eye to the image of human skull bone after he was extracted bone show that there are gaps to be closed I can determine the sinuses

Why does it have to be complicated, like with snakes? Why not try imclose() first?
