MATLAB: Scam Matlab Help Chat

mathworksnot a scamscam

I had popup chat from matlab works, while looking for answers on my activity feed. Chat for 5 mins and receive $10 Amazon gift card. I chatted with representative named "Ashish". After the chat he asked me for email address and disappeared. Scam? Beware.

MATLAB: Attack of the spammers

We are looking into ways to cut down on this type of unwanted communication. For now our suggestion is to prevent spam, consider hiding your email address from your community profile. You can do this by:

log into your MATLAB Central account
go to your community profile by clicking on the "My Community Profile" link at the top right of this page
click on "Edit my profile"
check the box for "Do not display my email address"

When users come to your profile, they will see a link "Contact author". Logged in users can use this to send direct email messages to you. If you are receiving messages from a spammer, please do forward the message to Lindsay or me and we will remove the account.

MATLAB: Can I not see Answers after receiving emails from The Mathworks

lucas and others had a spam fest over the weekend that kept me busy. I deleted them almost as soon as they popped up. Here's the weekend roll call from the spammers hall of shame:
