MATLAB: Scalar multiplication of a vector

Hello everyone,

I want to write a program using as little for-loops as possible. I want to define the following multiplication:

[a b] * [x1 y1; x2, y2; x3 y3] = [a*x1 b*y1; a*x1 b*y1; a*x1 b*y1]

Can i do this without the use of for-loops?

bsxfun(@times,[a b],[x1 y1; x2, y2; x3 y3])

here a, b, x1, y1, x2, y2,x3, y3 - numeric

For the case of every point linked to every other point:

[T1, T2, T3] = ndgrid(X, Y, Z);
A = [T1(:), T2(:), T3(:)];

syms a m L1 L2 L3;
A = [1 2*m 0; a 3*m 1; 1 1 a];
b = [L1; L2; L3];
x = A\b
