MATLAB: Saving .fig files as a .pdf file

Hello,

I am using Matlab 2016a on Mac. So far I have been exporting .fig files as eps to use them in a LaTeX document and I never had any issues. But this time I need to use the .fig files in a Word document. For that, I need to save/export them as .pdf files. So I tried saving them and exporting them as .pdf files but when I opened the pdf file, the figure is cropped. It doesn't show the axes at all.I have attached a screenshot of the pdf file. Any help would be appreciated.

Are the files named according to some nice rule? eg. 1.fig, 2.fig, ... maybe you can write a script based on openfig / print (the details may have errors):

for i = 1:30
    fig1 = openfig(sprintf('%s.fig', num2str(i)));
    print(fig1,'-dpdf',sprintf('%s.pdf', num2str(i)));
    close fig1
end

Might need adjustments, I'm not so great at figure handles and .fig files. Hopefully it will load all the figure files, i.jpg (for i = 1:30) then save them as i.pdf so you'd get 1.pdf, 2.pdf... in your current directory.
