MATLAB: Replacing part of a string

Hi,

I have a column with cells that have the following format: US313384RJ03(GP)

I want to replace "US" by 1032 and delete completely (GP). How can I do so?

A={'US313384RJ03(GP)','US313384RJ03(GP)'};
A=strrep(A,'US','1032');
A=strrep(A,'(GP)','');

str = sprintf('designPoint1.SetParameterExpression(parameter1, "%d")',dia);
execwbcommand(str)

This counts spaces & punctuation as characters (starting with the 1st character).

 string_var = 'The sun is shining. I feel good.';
 answer = string_var(1:2:end)

This eliminates periods:

 string_var = 'The sun is shining. I feel good.';
 string_var(string_var == '.') = '';
 answer = string_var(1:2:end)

Change the . to whatever character you want to eliminate. You want a space.
