I wan to replace all varibel-'keypad1' with '1'. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

This should do the trick:

%create part of your data structure as an example
EEG=struct;
EEG.event(1).type='11';EEG.event(1).latency=rand;
EEG.event(2).type='keypad1';EEG.event(2).latency=rand;
EEG.event(3).type='21';EEG.event(3).latency=rand;
EEG.event(4).type='31';EEG.event(4).latency=rand;
EEG.event(5).type='keypad1';EEG.event(5).latency=rand;
L=ismember({EEG.event.type},{'keypad1'});
[EEG.event(L).type]=deal('1');

Would you like a for loop? This could be simpler if the e vectors were much long than 3 elements

for k = 1 : length(e1)
    EEG.event(1,e1(k)).type = 1;
    EEG.event(1,e2(k)).type = 2;
    EEG.event(1,e3(k)).type = 3;
end

If e1, e2, and e3 don't all have the same length then you're best off using 3 separate for loops.

The easiest approach is to create a for loop over the events

Nevents = nume(EventTimes)
R = zeros(64, 250, Nevents) % pre-allocation
for k = 1:Nevents
    TF = EEG.Times > EventTimes(k)-200 & EEG.Times < EventTimes(k) + 800 ; 
    % TF should contain 250 true values!!!
    R(:,:,k) = EEG.data(: , TF) ;
end

However, this will fail if there if for some events the number of samples within the time window is not the same ... You should think how you want to deal with these events.
