MATLAB: Remove a part form a vector

remove vector

hello If I have for example a vector k=[1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8] and a vector i=[3,4,6,7] and I want to obtain a vector that contains element in k but not in i, it means here I want the vector [1,2,5,8] thanks in advance

setdiff does it

>> k=[1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8]; i =[3,4,6,7]; 
>> setdiff( k, i )
ans =
     1     2     5     8

b = [6; 7; 8; 9]; % Note that b is a column vector and a is a row vector
A = repmat(a,4,1)
A =
     0     1     2     3

>> m = b - A

The basic approach is

read the complete file and store each row as one string
find the positions of the empty rows and calculate the size of the blocks
read the file a second time with the proper format specifier

    fid = fopen(...)
    loop over all blocks
        fgetl( ) % read the empty lines
        cac = textscan( format, block_size, ... );
    end

Do not worry about the time it takes to read the file a second time. If it is not huge it is red from the cache the second time.
