MATLAB: ‘redo’ button is always grayed out

Hello, I know it is a silly question, but I just don't know where to enable it in the options. Its right next to undo, I know where it is, but it is always grayed out. Do I have to change something? I have R2015a and undo works just fine. Shortcuts also dont work for redo.

It will be grayed out until
  1. you have a file open in the editor, AND
  2. you have made a change to it since you opened it, AND
  3. the focus (your cursor) are in the edit window.
